Our History

Alamo Group is a leader in the design, manufacture, distribution and service of high quality equipment for right-of-way maintenance and agriculture. Our products include tractor and truck mounted mowing, vegetation maintenance equipment, excavators, street sweepers, vacuum trucks, snow removal equipment, pothole patchers, agricultural attachments and related after market parts and services.

The Company was founded in 1969 though some of our member companies have been in business over 100 years. We currently produce and assemble products in 18 principal facilities worldwide: specifically in the United States, England, France, Canada and Australia. Our corporate offices are located in Seguin, Texas, and headquarters for our European operations are located in Salford Priors, England.

For over four decades, we have focused on satisfying customer needs through geographic market expansion, product development and refinement, and select acquisitions. Our first products were based on rotary cutting technology. Over the years we added flail cutting and sickle-bar technology. Since then, we have gradually come to lead all of our major market segments in technology, in the creation and marketing of top brands, in manufacturing efficiency and in product innovation. Our development as a company has been enhanced by approximately twenty-five acquisitions. Alamo Group went public in 1993 and since 1995 has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange as ALG.

Our products are sold through Alamo Group's marketing organizations and our extensive independent worldwide dealer networks under various trademarks and trade names. These include Alamo Industrial, Tiger, Schwarze, Gradall, VacAll, Nite-Hawk, Henke Manufacturing, Schulte,
Bush HogRhino, M&W, SMC, TencoTerrain KingHerschel, Valu-Bilt, Bomford, Spearhead,  McConnel, Twose, SMA, Forges Gorce, Faucheux, Rousseau and others.
