In July 2021, Dan E. Malone assumed the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer at Alamo Group. With a tenure spanning over a decade, Mr. Malone joined the company in 2007 and previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2007 to 2021.
Prior to his time at Alamo Group, Mr. Malone held significant positions in finance and leadership. He served as the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Corporate Secretary at Igloo Products Corporation, a manufacturer of insulated consumer goods, from 2002 to January 2007. Before that, he was the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The York Group, Inc. from 2000 to 2002. During his tenure at Cooper Industries, Inc. and its various subsidiaries from 1987 to 2000, Mr. Malone held various financial roles, contributing to the company's success.
Mr. Malone's educational background includes an MBA in Finance, Marketing, and OB from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, as well as a BBA in Accounting from the Texas McCombs School of Business, where he graduated between 1979 and 1981.
Mr. Malone actively collaborates with Alamo Group associates, suppliers, nonprofit organizations, and other stakeholders to lead initiatives that foster significant and lasting improvements in economic, social, and environmental systems. Under his guidance, the company has made remarkable progress, including cutting absolute electricity consumption by more than 1.6 million kilowatthours compared to 2021 and achieving a reduction of over 21% in greenhouse gas emissions intensity since 2019. Furthermore, Alamo Group remains committed to reducing operational greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 50% by 2030, aligning with Dan's dedication to driving positive change through business initiatives.
